This striking wooden box shows wonderful character and age. Made by NAAFI Navy Arm and Air Forces Institute est. 1921 and measuring 41cm tall x 62cm wide x 52cm deep, it features age related marks throughout with some chips to the wood and a clasp missing, and some hand-written notes by a previous owner (please see photos). It features painted wording and the original rope handles. The box was made for the transport of tea cups, saucers, and plates.
