Its made of hard wearing pitch pine and is of immense proportions. Dating back to the early 20th century this would have originally been lined. The original ironmongery is still solidly attached and can be locked with a padlock. You can see the years of wear around the iron hasp. The picture from the top shows a historic split across the top – this is an old split and adds to the charm. You can walk on this top its not broken.
