These individual beautiful Storage Chests are hand crafted from part reclaimed timber sourced from buildings, barns and churches now no longer standing and show the marks, nail holes and knocks that give these wonderful looking Chests their rustic charm and vintage appearance. These dual purpose Chests look stunning when used as a coffee table and have been designed with a opening lid that offers fantastic storage space for blankets in the bedroom, toys in the children’s room and are perfect for a keeping modern day clutter out of sight! These Storage Chests have many uses from clearing away toys at the end of the day to providing a stunning looking bar once the lid is opened (we have one at home packed with glasses, wine and even an ice bucket). All the timber has been hand sanded and given two coats of Rustic Pine Wax to give a smooth finish that shows of the beauty of the woods grain, knots and blemishes and are all fitted with steel industrial castors for ease of movement. (These are fitted rubber on the wheels so not to scratch wooden/tiled floors). As our items are handmade to order, there may be slight variations to the photographs the wood may be a slightly different colour, and grains and markings, locations of knots and marks will be different. All of our pieces are exclusive to the Vintage Woodhouse, are original in design and exhibit an Old Fashioned rustic charm combined with modern industrial fittings. These stunning bespoke Storage Chests looks fantastic in any room, the addition galvanised steel hinges, galvanised lid chains and industrial steel handles only adds to the charm and appeal of these eye catching conversation pieces. A truly lovely piece of furniture that would look equally as fantastic in a country house manor or trendy loft apartment.
